Features

Built for tech creators on social

Every native format. Every language. Every animation mode. Zero "let me crop this in After Effects" steps.

Native multi-format

TikTok 9:16, Reels, Stories, Instagram 4:5, Square 1:1, Twitter 1200×630, HD 16:9. Pick the format up front; the editor enforces the canvas. No cropping after.

Code that types itself

Typewriter mode reveals code character-by-character on first appearance. Highlight-changes mode shows only the diff between consecutive slides — perfect for "here's what changed" carousels.

Frame-perfect MP4 / GIF

Cloud-rendered, frame by frame. No screen recording, no jitter, no "the GIF dropped a frame" pain. Loop-perfect GIFs for X, MP4 for TikTok / LinkedIn.

Text animations

Typewriter, fade-words, fade-letters, bounce-in, handwriting (with cursive font support). Pair text reveals with code reveals so the slide builds naturally.

Shiki syntax highlighting

200+ languages, dozens of themes (github-dark, dracula, nord, vitesse, one-dark-pro). Same engine VS Code uses, so JavaScript, Rust, Go, Python — anything renders cleanly.

AI generation via Claude

Markdown in, full carousel out. The Claude Code skill plans content, picks scene recipes, and generates the JSON. Tweak in the editor, export, post.

Templates

Templates ready for posting

Real carousels people actually shipped.

I used to record my IDE then crop the screencap to 9:16 in iMovie. Now I just build the slide in Animot, export GIF, and post. Saves me an hour per video.

FAQ

Common questions

What's the difference between native canvas and cropping? +
Native canvas means you build inside the exact dimensions of the target platform from the start. TikTok? You're in 1080×1920. Instagram feed? 1080×1350. The editor enforces the bounds so your text doesn't get clipped on the actual platform.
Can I export at higher than 60fps? +
Exports support 30fps and 60fps. 60fps is recommended for smooth motion and works flawlessly on every social platform. We don't do 120fps because no social platform plays video at that rate.
Does GIF export loop perfectly? +
Yes. The exporter calculates the natural loop point of your animation cycle and renders frames so the last frame transitions cleanly back to the first. No "GIF stutter" at the loop seam.
How do I make a carousel with diffs between slides? +
Set animation mode to highlight-changes on the code element and put the same element ID on each slide with progressively different code. The engine highlights only the new lines. JSON schema details here.
What about LinkedIn carousels (PDF format)? +
Coming soon — PDF export is in beta. For now, export as MP4 / GIF and upload as video. LinkedIn auto-plays both.
